Digital Camera Bags – What’s
Inside Your Digital Camera Bag?
There are a great deal of
digital camera accessories that can be purchased for any brand
of digital cameras. Some of these accessories are highly
recommended, others are just for fun, and some are just not
important enough to spend money on.
Protecting
your camera and keeping it in good shape is of course a vital
accessory. Every time you take the lens off of your camera it
is exposed to the elements. This is where a nice lens protector
comes in handy. They are not expensive but they can spare your
camera lens of scratches and dirt build up. Anytime these
become scratched they can be discarded and repurchased. A
minimal cost compared to having your lens repaired or
replaced.
Digital Camera Bags – What
Goes in These Things Anyway??
Digital camera bags come in a
variety of shapes and sizes. Buy the bag that will protect your
camera and all the accessories from the type of adventures you
will be taking. If you’re like us, you may be hiking around
rocky mountains, walking along sandy beaches and spending time
out in the rain and snow. Our digital camera bag is very sturdy
and holds all of our accessories quite well.
In addition to our sturdy bag,
we have a smaller hip sack for one of our long lenses. We use
this small container for our long lens that is swapped out with
the smaller lens. Short walks do not require a lot of
accessories so we have a variety of bags to keep our required
digital camera accessories in.
Some of the things you’ll most
likely take along with you in your digital camera bag are extra
batteries, memory cards, lenses, lens caps and covers, and even
perhaps a few snacks. We often take along an apple, orange and
two power bars. The man who helped us pick out our digital
camera bag was a genius. It’s perfect for our type of
vacations.
So, when selecting your
digital camera bag, think about the type of weather you’ll be
in, the time away from downloading your images, types of things
you’ll want to include in your pack, and how you want to carry
it; backpack style or over the shoulder.
The Weight Inside the Digital
Camera Bag
Your digital camera bag can
become quite heavy so you want to make sure that it can hold
the accessories you are taking with you. Here are a few things
you may not think of that later you’ll want to pack in that
bag.
Batteries, some of which can
be heavy. A tripod can really weight things down. Make sure you
can tie it on your pack and the pack can hold the weight of the
tripod without breaking the straps that hold it on.
