Best of Canon Digital Camera Accessories

My favorite digital camera accessories are going to of course be the canon digital camera accessories. Why? Well, mostly because that is exactly the brand of digital camera we own.

The typical Canon digital camera accessories that come with your purchase will be some type of camera bag, the digital camera cords for uploading and recharging your camera and sometimes an extra lens. However, it is rare to get an additional lens unless it’s an upgrade.

What are some of your choices?

Water Proofing Your Digital Camera

Are you interested in taking photographs near water or under water? There are waterproof cases that you can purchase for your digital camera to protect it from your water adventures. These waterproof cases will allow you to not only take pictures on a rainy day, but you can go snorkeling or scuba diving and enjoy underwater photography on a new level.

How About a Wide Converter Lens?

There are so many things you can do with a digital camera by simply changing the lens or adding something to it like a converter lens. A converter lens will widen your shots for those great panoramas.

Close Ups Anyone?

Some creatures are beautiful but very small. These require a special lens for those extra close up shots. Taking pictures of flowers and bugs or even small birds like the humming bird require a special lens in order to make sure the images do not become distorted.

What’s in a Memory Card?

Memory cards that come with your camera are pretty standard and most can hold quite a lot of images. However, you will soon become very surprised at how fast those cards fill up with images. You don’t want to be wasting time trying to delete bad pictures on your vacation. The best way to handle this problem is to buy an extra memory card. Today you can find memory cards that can hold up to 4GB’s of memory.

The Importance of a Tripod

Most people don’t really consider the tripod as a digital camera accessory necessity, but I’m going to tell you that they really do come in handy. No matter how steady your hands are, taking pictures at a distance or taking close ups often times require tripods. Tripods very in size and you’ll need to think of where you’re going to be taking them and the types of pictures you want before you make your purchase.

The thing you don’t want to do is buy cheap. And I don’t recommend buying a used tripod unless you can examine it or if you can’t look at it up close and personal, make sure you buy from a reputable person, especially if you’re buying on Ebay. We’ve been burned buying used digital camera accessories on Ebay so we stick to buying what we can buy locally for our digital camera needs.
